Overview:
Leading Metals Recycler & Manufacturer is looking for a highly motivated Process Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and improving processes to optimize productivity, efficiency, and quality for their locations in the South and the Midwest. The Process Engineer will work closely with technicians and senior management to develop solutions that meet production and business goals.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement new processes or modify existing ones to improve efficiency, safety and quality
- Conduct process analysis to identify areas for improvement and optimize performance
- Collaborate with senior management to design, develop, and test new equipment, tools and processes
- Perform cost analysis and make recommendations for cost-effective solutions
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
- Train and supervise technicians and operators to ensure proper implementation of processes
- Monitor and analyze process data to identify trends and make recommendations for continuous improvement
- Provide technical support to production teams and troubleshoot issues as needed
- Document and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of experience in process engineering, preferably in metals recycling or metals manufacturing
- Strong technical and analytical skills
- Experience with process simulation and modeling software
- Knowledge of safety regulations and quality standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
