Overview:
We are conducting a confidential search for a Regional Manager to oversee three metals recycling facilities in the Upper Midwest. This role will have full operational oversight across multiple locations with varying functions including peddler traffic, feeder yard operations, retail buying, and light processing.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a strong operational mindset, team leadership ability, and a focus on safety, efficiency, and customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day leadership and oversight for three branch locations totaling 25+ employees
- Manage operations across peddler, feeder, and light production facilities
- Ensure safe, compliant, and efficient yard operations
- Coordinate staffing, training, scheduling, and employee development
- Work closely with commercial, transportation, maintenance, and accounting teams
- Drive productivity improvements and cost control initiatives
- Oversee equipment inspections, maintenance coordination, and operational audits
- Maintain compliance with all environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements
- Support customer relationships and ensure service expectations are met
Qualifications:
- 5+ Years metals recycling management experience
- Experience managing multiple facilities or high-volume branch operations preferred
- Strong leadership and employee development skills
- Knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous materials preferred
- Experience with peddler traffic, feeder yards, and warehouse operations is a plus
- Strong business acumen with the ability to balance operational performance and profitability
- Valid driver’s license required
