Overview:
An established family-owned Metal Recycling company seeks an Account Manager for their facility in the Upper Midwest. The primary responsibilities include acquiring new accounts and servicing industrial manufacturers through activities such as cold calling, sales, negotiation, market analysis, and record keeping. Existing account maintenance involves customer visits, pricing, service arrangements, problem resolution, and contract renewals. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills, along with sales or purchasing experience, computer proficiency, and a background in the metals recycling industry. Advanced education is a bonus.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, Strategize & Execute Purchasing of Ferrous & Nonferrous Metals
- Maintain & Develop New/Existing Account Relationships
- Strategize & Target Growth Opportunities
- Bid & Contract Negotiation
Requirements:
- 5+ Years Ferrous/Non-ferrous Scrap Purchasing Experience
- Strong Knowledge in Pricing & Grading of Scrap Metals
- Excellent Communication, Organizational & Negotiation Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree a Plus
