Overview:
Area Sales Manager is responsible for acquiring new business and retaining existing customers.
Responsibilities:
- Achieves sales volume through product promotion and direct customer contact.
- Cross-sells new applications to existing customers.
- Proactively tracks and manages sales-related activities in assigned territory.
- Understands and communicates the value of products and services to the customer.
- Investigates and/or provides technical information and assistance to potential and existing customers.
- Works effectively with Customer Service, Plant, QC, and Accounting Personnel to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Performs credit and collection duties to minimize outstanding receivables.
- Ensure that all products meet or exceed customer’s expectations regarding quality and service.
- Ensure that all employees are working efficiently and consistently with company policies and guidelines.
- Maintains existing relationships and develops new customers through consultative selling.
Requirements:
- Sales experience in Ready Mix industry preferred but not essential.
- Demonstrated track record of sales success in previous positions.
- Exceptional communications skills, including written and verbal.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of local construction industry, concrete mixes and specifications preferred but not essential.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license.
