Overview:
Ready Mix Company is seeking a Concrete Operations Manager to provide daily workflow management of concrete mixer drivers, aggregate drivers, mechanics, dispatch and plant operations personnel at 4 locations.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate dispatch operations including planning the number of trucks needed, scheduling mixer drivers, production personnel and material truck drivers.
- Coordination with the Logistics Supervisor on timely and cost-effective delivery of raw materials including cement trains.
- Responsible for the manufacturing and distribution of ready mixed concrete, plant operations and maintenance, safety at plants and general condition of ready-mix trucks, truck maintenance, coordination of ready-mix trucks, aggregate trucks.
- Work with VP of Operations on Monthly and Annual Financial results of the business analyzing KPI’s and drill down into monthly results.
- Work with Quality Control and Dispatch Manager to maintain quality, optimization, and customer service.
- Implementation / support of company Safety Program – coordinate with Safety Director and other management personnel to ensure zero lost time accidents.
- Run plant operations that meet company goals with respect to plant and mixer efficiency standards.
- Provide leadership for all personnel and instill a team approach that is efficient and economical to the company.
- Assist in managing mixer shops and truck maintenance through coordination with the respective departments.
- Establish and conduct training for all personnel in cooperation with other Plant Managers.
- Activity and involvement in Industry Association and participation in community affairs.
- Involvement in Driver Training Program.
- Assurance that customers receive timely service and addresses complaints in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- Ready Mix Concrete industry or related operations management experience is preferred.
- Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, percentages, area, circumference and volume.
- Ability to provide leadership to all employees in a professional manner.
- Excellent verbal and written communication & computer skills.
- Must have ability to work with customers, suppliers, and employees.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
