Overview:
Growing Construction Materials Producer on the picturesque Florida Coast. We are actively seeking a highly experienced Controller to play a pivotal role in our continued growth. Reporting directly to the President, the Controller will be responsible for providing strategic financial leadership and oversight across all operational facets, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, banking, and overall financial performance management.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute financial strategies to support company objectives and drive sustainable growth.
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
- Manage accounts receivable and payable processes, optimizing cash flow and minimizing risk.
- Coordinate payroll functions, including processing, tax compliance, and reporting.
- Maintain strong banking relationships and manage cash flow effectively.
- Prepare and present financial reports, analyses, and forecasts to senior management.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational excellence and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to inform strategic decision-making.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience in the Ready Mix Industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial management, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Proven track record of driving process improvements and implementing best practices.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a focus on fostering collaborative relationships.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to evolving business needs.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
