Overview:
Ready Mix company is seeking a Director of HSE to develop, coordinate, implement and maintain workplace safety policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain workplace safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and all safety laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate OSHA records, safety logs, and reports.
- Identify and correct unsafe work conditions and practices.
- Work to prevent workplace injuries, accidents, and health risks.
- Develop and conduct employee safety training.
- Review and improve safety training programs as needed.
- Perform regular workplace safety inspections and audits.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to prevent future occurrences.
- Promote a strong culture of safety throughout the company.
- Develop and manage safety programs to improve workplace safety.
- Lead and support the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) team.
- Develop and maintain safe driving policies and procedures.
- Work with management and employees to improve daily safety practices.
- Participate in industry safety groups and meetings at least twice a year.
- Help manage workers’ compensation claims and reduce related costs.
Requirements:
- HSE experience required.
- Excellent communication skills. (written & verbal)
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Risk-control and mitigation of safety incidents.
- Strong leadership skills.
- General construction knowledge is a plus.
