Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Director of Safety to lead and manage all safety programs across our client’s operations in North Carolina. This role requires a minimum of 5+ years of Safety Management experience within the Ready Mix Concrete industry.
Our client operates 10+ Ready Mix Plants, a fleet of 150 Mixers, Concrete Pump Trucks, and a Concrete Construction Division. The Director of Safety will be responsible for developing, implementing, and enforcing safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements while promoting a strong safety culture across all business units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee safety programs across Ready Mix, Pumping, and Construction operations
- Conduct site audits, training, incident investigations, and safety reporting
- Ensure DOT, OSHA, and company safety compliance
- Promote continuous improvement in safety performance and employee engagement
- Collaborate with leadership on insurance and risk mitigation strategies
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of safety leadership experience in the Ready Mix Concrete industry
- Strong working knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and industry-specific safety regulations
- Effective communication and leadership skills
- Risk Management experience is a plus
