Overview:
As the Quality Control Manager for our Ready Mix Concrete Company, you will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality of all concrete products and materials produced and delivered by our company. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining compliance with industry standards, specifications, and customer requirements while continuously improving our processes to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures to ensure all concrete products meet regulatory standards, customer specifications, and internal requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality audits of raw materials, production processes, and finished products to verify conformance to standards.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations, codes, and standards related to concrete production and quality control.
- Testing and Analysis:
- Plan and oversee testing programs for raw materials (aggregates, cement, additives) and concrete mixes to ensure they meet strength, durability, and consistency requirements.
- Analyze test results, troubleshoot quality issues, and collaborate with production teams to implement corrective actions as needed.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of all quality tests, inspections, and audits performed.
- Prepare detailed reports summarizing quality control findings, trends, and recommendations for management review.
- Communicate quality-related information effectively to production teams, management, and customers.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement in concrete production and quality control.
- Lead or participate in quality improvement projects aimed at enhancing product quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Provide training and guidance to production personnel on quality control procedures and best practices.
- Customer Focus:
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to address customer quality concerns and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding product quality, specifications, and testing procedures.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control or assurance within the concrete industry, with a strong understanding of concrete mix design, production processes, and testing methodologies.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and specifications (ACI, ASTM, etc.).
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
