Overview:
Northeast Steel Fabricator seeks an experienced Controller. This individual will lead the accounting department, manage project costing, and foster strong internal and external relationships.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of construction accounting experience with strong job costing expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA or CMA preferred
- Experience managing or supervising accounting staff strongly preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial data analysis
- Strong understanding of:
- WIP reporting and revenue recognition
- Construction contract types (fixed price, cost-plus)
- Lien laws and subcontractor compliance
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
