Overview:
Reputable steel fabricator specializing in the production of steel bridges, miscellaneous bridge components for the transportation industry &structural steel for the building industry, seeks a full-time Civil/Structural Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the design, analysis & execution of various projects, ensuring adherence to industry standards & customer requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Review project specifications & collaborate with contractors & customers to address structural steel design concerns
- Work closely with the estimating department to assess project costs & feasibility based on comprehensive data analysis
- Develop engineering designs, plans & specifications for internal capital improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with construction & safety regulations
- Collaborate with the drafting department to produce engineering & design documents
- Create detailed engineering designs for structural steel members & connections
- Experience with Autocad, SDS-2 & Tekla a plus
Requirements:
- 5+ Years Steel Fabrication Industry Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- PE license or currently pursuing (EIT)
