Overview:
Seeking an experienced Millwright for a reputable steel manufacturing facility in South Texas. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical maintenance background, preferably within a steel mill or heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on hot rolling mill equipment and mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment.
- Maintain and repair gearboxes, bearings, pumps, motors, and drive systems.
- Perform precision alignments, rigging, welding, and equipment installations.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
- Identify equipment issues and minimize production downtime.
- Follow all plant safety procedures and maintenance standards.
Qualifications:
- Previous millwright or industrial mechanical maintenance experience required.
- Steel mill or heavy industrial manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical drives, and rotating equipment.
- Experience with welding, rigging, and precision alignment.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- PLC and HMI familiarity is a plus.
Schedule:
- Rotating shift schedule – 4 days on / 4 days off.
