Overview:
Seeking a strong, hands-on Production Manager to be responsible for all aspects of production planning, team development, quality control, and logistics coordination. The Production Manager will play a key role in meeting schedule, quality, and profitability targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Leadership:
- Oversee daily operations of the fabrication floor, ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety.
Scheduling & Coordination:
- Build and manage daily and weekly production schedules.
- Coordinate with detailers and project managers to ensure accurate and timely fabrication of orders.
Logistics & Delivery:
- Work directly with our sister transportation company to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery to customers.
Inventory & Cost Control:
- Manage raw material inventory and rebar city counter sales.
- Monitor and control inventory costs in coordination with vendor pricing.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure incoming raw materials and outgoing fabricated products meet all quality standards and specifications.
Team Management:
- Lead, train, and develop the production team.
- Handle all aspects of hiring, performance reviews, and terminations as needed.
Safety:
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture.
- Ensure all employees follow safety protocols and practices.
Financial Performance:
- Work with leadership to meet daily, weekly, and monthly production and budget goals.
- Ensure alignment with the company’s profitability targets.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a production or operations management role (preferably in steel, fabrication, or construction)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Working knowledge of rebar or similar material handling preferred
- Ability to manage schedules, prioritize work, and drive accountability
- Experience with inventory management and cost control
- Strong focus on safety and quality
- Proficiency in production management software and systems is a plus
