Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Foreman specializing in curb and gutter work to lead and oversee an 8-man crew on site development projects. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, technical knowledge of concrete and grading operations, and a proven ability to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct an 8-man crew in daily curb and gutter construction activities.
- Coordinate tasks such as grading, forming, pouring, and finishing concrete.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety protocols, and quality standards.
- Manage project timelines, daily reporting, and crew productivity.
- Read and interpret site plans, blueprints, and project layouts.
- Operate and oversee use of construction equipment as needed.
- Train, mentor, and motivate crew members to achieve optimal performance.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, inspectors, and subcontractors.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in curb and gutter or concrete construction.
- Prior experience as a foreman or lead preferred.
- Strong understanding of site grading, forming, and finishing methods.
- Ability to manage and motivate a team of 8 or more crew members.
- Proficient in reading site development plans and specifications.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Commitment to job site safety and quality control.
- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required).
