Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Utility Foreman to lead underground utility crews on DOT roadway and heavy civil construction projects. This position will oversee the installation of storm sewer, sanitary sewer, drainage structures, and related infrastructure while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise utility crews on roadway and heavy civil projects
- Oversee installation of storm sewer, sanitary sewer, water main, culverts, manholes, and drainage structures
- Coordinate daily activities with Superintendents, Project Managers, subcontractors, and inspectors
- Read and interpret plans, profiles, and utility drawings
- Ensure proper trench safety, shoring, testing, and utility installation procedures
- Schedule manpower, equipment, and materials to maintain production goals
- Complete daily reports and maintain project documentation
- Enforce company safety policies and DOT requirements
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Utility Foreman or Lead Utility Crew Member
- Strong experience with:
- Storm Sewer
- Sanitary Sewer
- Water Main
- Drainage Systems
- Roadway Utility Work
- Ability to read construction plans and utility profiles
- Experience coordinating excavators, loaders, dozers, and support equipment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Valid Driver’s License
